Vanessa has over 17 years working with children and families within various roles in both the government and the private sector. She has specialised experience working with children and families who have experienced complex trauma, and utilises relevant therapeutic and neuroscience-informed practices. Vanessa holds a Bachelor degree in Behavioural Studies and post-graduate qualifications in Counselling, and Child Protection and Client Assessment. She is a certified Neuro-psychotherapeutic Practitioner and Certified Resilience Coach. Vanessa has further completed her qualifying clinical training in Child Centred Play Therapy through the Queensland Institute of Play Therapy and is currently completing her Masters Degree in Educational Neuroscience through Central Queensland University.

Huldah is a counsellor and speech pathologist passionate about supporting children and their families using play and a person/family-centred approach. Having graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelors in Speech Pathology (Honours) in 2016 and a Masters in Counselling in 2023, she has since been supporting children and families with a range of needs, including children with ASD, ADHD, disabilities and a history of trauma. With an attachment and family systems lens, Huldah is also passionate about supporting parents navigate the challenges of having a child with complex needs and supporting the parent-child relationship.

Maddy has over a decade of experience working with children as a primary school educator, developing specialised skills in supporting diverse learning needs. Her passion for child development and witnessing the unique challenges many students face led her to pursue a new career in Play Therapy and educational counselling. Through Play Therapy, Maddy creates a safe, nurturing space where children can express themselves freely, process difficult emotions, and develop vital coping skills through their natural language of play. She believes deeply in the transformative power of play-based approaches to healing and learning, allowing children to work through challenges at their own pace in a supportive environment.
Maddy offers comprehensive support including Parents’ Evaluation of Developmental Status (PEDS) Assessment for developmental screening and practical strategies for Managing Challenging Behaviours. She works enthusiastically with children experiencing Autism Spectrum Disorders, ADHD, dyspraxia, sensory processing challenges, emotional regulation difficulties, and developmental delays.Maddy holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Education and is nearing completion of a Master’s in Guidance and Counselling, uniquely positioning her to address both the academic and emotional aspects of children’s development.
